Garden Grove League playoff picture

Here's a team-by-team look at the Garden Grove League:

Los Amigos (5-5, 4-1): The Lobos lost to Santiago on Friday, creating a three-way tie for first place with Garden Grove and Santiago. But The Lobos rallied when the coins were flipped to determine playoff position.

Here's how it went down:

1. Los Amigos
2. Garden Grove
3. Santiago

Garden Grove (9-1, 4-1): The Argos share the league title, but are the league's No. 2 representative.

Santiago (8-2, 4-1): The Cavaliers earned a share of the league title by beating Los Amigos on Friday, but will be the league's No. 3 representative after a bad run of coin flips.

La Quinta (4-6, 2-3): The Aztecs have already been eliminated from the playoffs.

Bolsa Grande (4-6, 1-4): The Matadors are out of the playoff picture after losing to Los Amigos on Thursday.

Rancho Alamitos (2-8, 0-5): The Vaqueros are out of playoff contention.

Note: There are no at-large berths in the Southern Division, so the only way into the playoffs from the Garden Grove League is to finish in the top three spots.

thats whats happens to teams like G.G. and Sant. who play a weaker schedule. they much up against a more phycial team like Los and are shell shocked

I'm very proud of the way the Lobos have conducted themselves and their cohesiveness throughout the season. The running of Ricky and the passing of Jose have been instrumental in "shutting up" the critics in their early predictions for the Garden Grove league.

I look forward to the celebration Friday night either way; even though I'm confident that Los isn't just handing over a share of the league.

Lobos just stay focused, remember: "VICTORY IS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF INCONVENIENCE" & "CHAMPIONS ARE NOT MADE OF PEOPLE THAT FAIL; THEIR MADE OF PEOPLE THAT DON'T QUIT"

Haha - Legit40 you're a fool. Don't hate on the Cavs cuz they beat ur arse! Los and Santiago match up well, just like Los and Grove, Grove and Santiago. A 3 way tie would be the perfect ending to such a well balanced season (well, for the top 3 that is).

Wow, I wish my team was in a garbage league like this when I was in high school. We would have done no worse than 9-1 or 8-2 every season and won every league title.
