MORE PLAYOFF PICTURE BREAKDOWNS:
raiders are going to the playoffs!
Raiders choked
Raiders have no chance of beating the lancers. maybe a 10%-90% of beating the lancers
Even though we lost to LaHabra this week when we meet them in the playoffs we will whoop them, That team is way OVER-RATED!!! Go TRIBE!
Go La Habra!!! Go Highlanders!!! Great victory over the FU High School Indians. Was there ever any doubt as to who would win? The true champs did not disappoint!!!
sunny hills in the playoffs!! it makes sense, since they have kids like that Bai kid playing for them.
Over-rated, ya right. Is Allain still seeing stars?
MANDO, Please, over-rated??? Fullerton ran their gums for weeks about this game, came out and got ran out... Like everyone knows, if you stop Allain, you will win, La Habra's shut down defense contained him(eventhough he had a great game and should still be Freeway League MVP) La Habra did whatever they wanted and came out with a large victory...Get over it...
Sunny Hills is a better team/program this year. Seems like their new HC is doing some good things. I'm pulling for them to be the 3rd place team to represent the FWY League in CIF playoffs.
People who actually follow football, not just kids running their mouths (and keyboards) know how good La Habra is. They are very good. Do I think the score of the game was an indicator of how close the game was? No. I think Fullerton played a better game and I believe contained Nygren and Hillman although he did have that run which accounted for 70 of his 105 yards. The remaining 12 carries for Hillman? Not so impressive, 35 yards. Josh Quezada is another story. The kid is legit. To beat La Habra we will have to find a way to contain him and battle through the fact that we are undersized on both sides of the ball. The Indians are a tough football team, but La Habra was better Friday night. If an educated La Habra fan wants to talk football, you'll see that the Fullerton defense did about as well against you guys as Los Al and SC, giving up only 3 more points. Obviously, we didn't do what we had to do offensively and hopefully we'll get another chance to make it right>
Go Tribe!
hey injun chef what world are you livin in. i dont recall los al or san clemente giving up almost 500 yds of total offense ,i hope you can recover for troy and the playoffs.in all respect to a tough kid i hope allain is ok
In my humble opinion, Los Al and San Clemente were definitely more physical and a lot faster than Fullerton.
Fullerton's defense, did (before they were worn down) contain the LH outside game. FUHS big man #54 was going both ways and seemed a little tired in the 3rd/4th quater. The running back, Allain #21, is a great running back. He is scary once he's in the open filed, but lacked the last gear to evade LH DB's. He seemed banged up one play where LH #50 hit him in the back field. Hope Allain is okay. He will be a major factor to deal with in playoffs.
Also, Fullerton never seemed to get ther passing game going. Once they become more balanced they will be contenders for the CIF Final.
Overall, FUHS was a tough team. However, LH was faster and made less mistakes.
Ex Lancer/clan/warrior/raider whatever dad - Please get your facts correct, the actual amount of "total yards" was 376, not 500. Los Al gave up 336 to La Habra. 376 isn't good, but it's not 500.
Hey indian chief,as far as the passing game is concerned, when you're shredding a defense for 356 rushing yards you don't need to pass!!! If we had needed to pass we would have. Fullerton's defense did such a good job they gave Quezada his biggest rushing nite of the season! People who actually know football understand why Hillman is a great player. He's the kind of player that commands the attention of any defense whether or not he is touching the ball. This opens up the offense and makes everyone better! As an educated La Habra fan I understand you wanting to salvage something from your defeat but comparing your defense to LOS AL'S and SC'S? I guess giving up 24pts. in a loss is something to be proud of!! DON'T build yourself up by tearing down others.
IndianChief:
Thank you for your umm... mature (?) statement, however had Fullerton not been beat, I'm sure your comments would differ. And yes, #21 is VERY good. As he came off the field and fell at the sideline after being hit by #50, LH fans were concerned, and noticed no one had gone over to help him for at least a few minutes. We hope he's ok.
Im glad to see you trash talking Fullerton fans are back. Do us a favor, and scrape your offense off of the La Habra field. Its starting to stink up the stadium. Do your school / team a favor and tell # 11 (the midget) and # 84 on your team to check the score before talking trash to fans as well as the other team. Your team came to La Habra, and your team got socked in the mouth. Now shut up, and TRY to win in the playoffs, so La Habra can sock you in the mouth again. I do respect Allain's skills, and his ability to take a beating. Unfortunately he is the whole team offensively.
footballl
If Fullerton's offense would have held onto the ball longer, this would have likely translated into a less productive night for the La Habra offense. This speaks to the need for Fullerton to diversify their offensive threats and it also demonstrates the toughness of the La Habra defense.
"Congratulations" to Coach Marcello Giuliano and your staff for turning around the Sunny Hills football program and getting them to the CIF playoffs. Most of all "Congratulations" to the Lancers football team. You have gave your Lancer fans a season to remember.
"Go Lancers"
la habra over rated? haha you got to be kidding me. Fullerton is still running thier mouth after getting ran out of Highlander Stadium [litterly]. Okay so maybe Hillman didnt have such a productive night, but Quezada sure made up for it. The Clan came out hitting and i saw with my eyes that the indians felt that. Congrats Highlanders. Go out and win another Championship. You guys deserve it!
Okay Fullerton fan, thank you for stating the obvious, if any team holds on to the ball longer their opponent will have a less productive night, for Fullerton to hold on to the ball longer they will have to get a better passing game going, when Allain is getting the ball 90% of the time it's not difficult choice to pick run stopping plays. Allain is fantastic, but they need to open up there offense, and be at least a little less dependent on the man.
Ok, so I have to comment on how RUDE some people are! First off all, the comment from fAnATic says "As he came off the field and fell at the sideline after being hit by #50, LH fans were concerned, and noticed no one had gone over to help him for at least a few minutes. We hope he’s ok." FIRST OF ALL, Please save your pity MIchael does not need it.. WE KNOW OUR PLAYERS and if Michael needed something trust me he would have gotten it! He does not like to be babied and needs his space when he is aggravated. He is OUR boy and we take care of him when he wants it or needs it. He would not want your pity! He is a true athlete through and through!
Now for LHFanFromChino's comment on our #11 (the midget) and #84 whom played awesome that night. These boys are great players and very respectful young men and for you to make an insult like that after starting off your statement with "I'm glad to see you trash talking Fullerton fans are back" makes you look like a huge hypocrite! So how about you go back to Chino, we don't need your rude comments being made directly to our players, not even the LH fans or parents take pot shots at our boys like that, it is just down right rude and tactless.
As far as Allain being our entire offense, that might have been true in the first part of the season. Maybe you should have seen the Fullerton vs Troy game... Check the score... because we played WITHOUT Allain.... AND WON!
I hope for all of the players' sakes on all teams we can be adults and respect these boys who have ALL EARNED THEIR SPOTS by playing hard.
fullerton please stop talking you guys lostttttttt we wonnn so just pray we dont meet you guys again in the playoffs again cause we most likely beat you guys
Why was Fullerton ever ranked higher than La Habra anyway? The Highlanders outclass the Braves. I give FU credit for their self-confidence, but it didn't translate into a win for them.
The CIF playoffs will be fun to watch!
"As far as Allain being our entire offense, that might have been true in the first part of the season. Maybe you should have seen the Fullerton vs Troy game… Check the score… because we played WITHOUT Allain…. AND WON!"
..........sadly that doesn't say very much. Our (as in Troy) varsity team left a lot to be desired this year.........................
I fully expect La Habra to take the title again this year.
Who are the Braves?
He probably meant the Indians....
Very Interesting how the blog STARTS as a technical overview of the games, giving credit where credit is due and THEN when the LH fans get involved and the nastiness starts all over again. Stop PERSONALIZING everything but then that's what the LH cheerleader banners do, they PERSONALIZE (it's not good enough to just cheer your boys on) you gotta rip down the other team.
I marvel at how conveniently the Indians sit back and pretend to take the high road this season in their blogging, that the LH fans are getting personal and nasty, and blah, blah, blah.....
But LH fans have not forgotten how our perfect season was marred last year by an 11th hour trick to keep the Indians in the game at any cost. LH did nothing less than play a perfect season, yet they were denied bragging rights to that honor, through absolutely no fault of their own. Though LH came out justifiably victorious in the end, MANY teams were profoundly affected by that dirty trick. The whole CIF positioning for playoff games was altered, which unfairly pitted teams against one another. I do remember that my team, the Highlanders, stood tall and proud and ultimately won the championship. And who did we beat in the final game? The FUHS Indians. GO HIGHLANDERS!!!!!
New Flash MotoType...last year's issues had NOTHING to do with LH! Absolutely Nothing! It was between Troy and FUHS!
Indians fans why do we even bother with these LH fans??.. We are battling wits with a completely unarmed crowd.. Lets just let our boys do what they need to and sit back and be the bigger crowd. It is a serious big waste of our time. We know we have more tact!
GO INDIANS!!
