TUSTIN -- There was no letdown for Foothill.

After beating Trabuco Hills last week, the Knights scored their most points this season to top Northwood, 56-28, and wrap up at least a share of the Sea View League title Thursday night at Tustin High.

“Being league champs is our first goal,” Foothill coach Doug Case said. “We just want to keep playing good, solid football the rest of the way.”

Foothill (8-1, 4-0) put up 21 points in the first quarter and never looked back.

A week after throwing for 304 yards, quarterback Zach Griffith went for 303 yards and four touchdowns against Northwood (2-7, 0-4). Three Knights scored two touchdowns each.

Eddie Dainko caught 39- and 20-yard touchdown passes; Ben Douglas returned a punt for a touchdown and also scored on a 72-yard run; and Brandon Dupre scooped up a fumble and returned it 16 yards for a score and caught a touchdown pass.

Northwood’s Steven Cox caught four passes for 110 yards, including one for an 80-yard TD.
