NO. 5 MISSION VIEJO (7-1, 2-1) VS. DANA HILLS (5-3, 2-1)
Site, time: Dana Hills High, Friday, 7 p.m.
Outlook: This South Coast League game is another that could be high scoring. It has two of the county’s top quarterbacks, Mission Viejo’s Allan Bridgford, who committed to Cal, and Dana Hills’ Sean Schoeder, who committed to Duke. Both teams are in must-win mode, but Dana’s situation if far more dire.
If Mission wins, it has locked up a playoff berth – and that would make Dana Hills 2-2 with an upcoming game next week, the final week of the regular season, against league-leading Tesoro, the No. 1 team in Orange County. The fourth-place team in the South Coast League has a shot at the Pac-5′s one at-large berth, but the feeling here is that a Serra League team is going to get that Pac-5 at-large opening.
Mission Viejo bounced back well last week when it beat San Clemente, one week after losing to Tesoro. Mission Viejo should be good enough to win again.
Winner: Mission Viejo

Yes, it’s a must win game for Dana. Both teams have high power offense, they can produce score every series. Dana’s offense has more play makers than any other teams in county.
But, this game may well be decided by the Dolphins suspecting defense. They must show up strong to hold the Diablos off. Both teams want to avoid shoot out.
At the end, the Dolphins offense should out play and pull off this critical game.
Final Score (revised): Dolphins 38 – Diablos 34
Dear Hard Truth… spoken like a true Dolphins supporter..
Regardless of who you think will win, COME TO THE GAME!!!!!!!!!
It’s a PLAYOFF game for both teams; It will be an electric atmoshrere!!!!!!!
Now, that’s what I like — what Hard Truth did: make a prediction BEFORE the game is played. Most folks wait until after the game so they can say “I knew it all along!”
How’s this Steve; DOLPHINS 42 – DIABLOS 28
Hard Truth <<< Steve Fryer’s cousin.
We respect each other, BUT disagee on Football’s prediction!
This game will have a bigger turnout for Dana than their homecoming last week. It’s already in the works.
I concur with Hard Truth’s statement about Dana’s offense. They have many play makers; Schroeder, Giesen, Denso, Adams, St Clair. Their 2 senior OGs are solid players; Yamada and Mount. Defense side isn’t bad either; Kasper brothers, Heine, McClory. They all can play at next level.
Hard Truth and Dana FB.. did we get that backwards?? I think it ended up being Mission 45 Dana 31… oops! that darn Steve Fryer was right again!
