NO. 6 LOS ALAMITOS (7-1, 2-1) VS. ESPERANZA (6-2, 2-1)
Site, time: Valencia High, Friday, 7 p.m.
Outlook: Los Alamitos is coming off of last week's 21-14 upset loss to Fountain Valley. Esperanza beat Fountain Valley, 17-14. Logically, of course, Esperanza should beat Los Alamitos in this Sunset League game. But the prediction here is that Los Alamitos will win.
Los Alamitos is very good in an area in which Esperanza struggles – throwing the football. In the Pac-5 Division, with rare exceptions, you have to be able to throw the football to win a league championship or go deep in the playoffs. Esperanza's defense is excellent, but its offense won't be able to match Los Al's scoring.

I agree los al should be able to dominate esperanza. fv shouldnt have lost that game
I'll take a stout defense and a good running game over offense. Let's see what happens. If Los Al scores more than 21 points, they win. Should be a great game.
I will take a bold stand and take Esperanza.
Defense wins games and they have the home crowd on their side.
It should be an excellent game with Clark Evans Vs. the Esperanza Defense.
Los AL wins out they secure a spot for the playoffs, but if Esperanza wins out they win Sunset. Esperanza must be pretty excited with a loss against Newport and still have an opportunity.

Alot is riding on Esperanza to answer the call its' within reach and this week is the deciding factor in the Sunset League.
Los Al has historically shown that they come back strong after a loss... I'm looking to Los Al for a win tonight.
