Outlook: While it could have been assumed that Laguna Hills bagged the Pacific Coast League championship by beating Corona del Mar in a league game three weeks ago, Irvine is another challenge for the league-leading Hawks. Irvine had won six in a row before a one-point loss to Corona del Mar last week. The Vaqueros' other loss was also by one point, to University in the season opener. Laguna Hills, which concludes its regular season with this game, looks like the class of the league, and perhaps of the CIF-Southern Section's Southern Division, too.
