EL DORADO (3-5, 2-1) VS. VILLA PARK (4-4, 2-1)

Outlook: El Dorado is not close to being as good as it was in 2007 and '06 when the Golden Hawks won CIF championships. At most public schools, excellence usually comes and goes. It is a down time for El Dorado, comparatively speaking, but the Hawks are good enough to be a playoff representative in the Century League.

Villa Park is better than its 1-9, 0-5 team last year, but it will be interesting to see how the Spartans respond this week after getting shellacked last week by Tustin, 49-21. Both teams need to win this one to remain in contention for a playoff berth.
