Dana Hills’ Brynn Boren and Kristina Smith won their first two matches at Tuesday’s South Coast League finals at Laguna Niguel Racquet Club.

Boren and Smith are the defending Division I CIF doubles champions, and finished runners up two seasons ago.

The pair defeated Tesoro’s Kelsey Linton and Melany Stransky 6-0, 6-0 to reach Wednesday’s semifinals. Smith and Boren face teammates Avriel Tomaiko and Karley Pletcher in that match.

“To defend our title would be cool to do,” Smith said.
