Laguna Hills has allowed only two teams to score in double digits this season. The Hawks are allowing 7.4 points a game. This week's star played a key role in the Hawks' improving to 8-0 overall and 3-0 in the Pacific Coast League.
The week 8 star is ...
Ryan Ur, Laguna Hills, So., defensive back
Ur (bio and stats) intercepted two passes that led to 14 points in Thursday's 24-0 Laguna Hills victory over Beckman. Ur has five interceptions this season. His first interception came in the first quarter and his second came in the fourth.

You all should be looking at Dontaie Ferguson from Servite.
OLB taht works hard and I'm surprised not getting the recognition.
Kepp up the good work.
I agree, Servite beat the #2 team in the County and probably the best team in the Trinity league. That's great for Laguna Hills but if they played any of the teams in the Trinity league, they would get scored on for about 50 pts. Also, consider there big nose guard Tureefe (not sure of spelling), but this kid rocks. Then you have without a doubt the #1 DB in the county in Bijon Samoodi who returned to his natural position as CB and shut down half the field. Go Friars...
FYI Steve Fryer, if you would have watched this game live, you would see the difference between Lemon and Samoodi; Lemon covered his receiver well, while Samoodi shut down half the field and forced Kunau to go the other way every time. Then when they needed first downs, they put him in in the 4th to carry the ball for 45 yards and a few 1st downs, com'on- he has to be the most intense defensive player in the County...
this kid is going places. Colleges need to pick him up now.
The funny thing is ive played with many of the kids during junior all-american now playing at mission and the trinity leagues... they are just as well classed as the players at laguna hills this year. Now, whether or not Laguna hills will be able to maintain their talent is the problem. They will probably not be as good as they were this year in years to come, but if you are talking about the 2008 laguna hills team, think again about talking trash...
