FULLERTON -- Servite’s mastery of Orange Lutheran continued Friday night, and the Friars can thank their defense.
On the strength of two fourth-down stops in the fourth quarter, No. 7 Servite turned back the No. 3 Lancers, 14-10, in a rugged Trinity League game at Cal State Fullerton on Friday.
Servite (5-3, 2-1) climbed back into the league race by defeating Orange Lutheran (6-2, 2-1) for the third consecutive season.
“We won on defense - we had to,” said Servite football coach Troy Thomas, whose team is tied for second in the league behind Mater Dei (7-2, 3-0).
“Ten points (allowed). That’s a huge, huge win.”

Try adding the 2 consecutive bad calls with 4 minutes to go and Oh Lu driving inside the Servite 20. How conveniant. It totally pulled out the Lancer's momentum and took the wind out of their sails!
Thanks zebras! Way to take the game away from the kids again and show what power you have. Next year I'll just stay home and watch Deal or no Deal!
Servite's student section, the "Pit Crew" as i believe it is called, was absolutely dominant in the 4h quarter. I think that the "Pit Crew" helped Servite more than the officiating did. And naturally when a fan of the losing team has to deal with their teams defeat, they will blame the officiating instead of the performance of the victorious team.
The Observer: I blame the refs for traffic, the weather, if I can't make deadline on time, etc. Somebody has to pay and it better not be me.
There have been some terribly officiated games this season....MD vs Edison (need I say more!)
Bad calls in high school football? No way. I don't believe it's possible.
I think a standardized form would be easy.
My team _______ (fill in your team) lost to _________ (fill in winning team) and it was the ref's fault for these reasons:
