The Warriors’ No. 2 singles player out-lasted Northwood’s No. 2 player, 7-5, in the opening round to help her team pull off the upset win, 11-7, and secure at least a share of the Sea View League title.
Her win tied the teams in sets, 3-3, after the first round and gave Woodbridge (6-1) the momentum. The Warriors proceeded to win five of six sets in the second round to take a commanding 8-4 set lead before wrapping up the victory.
