Desiree Dubreuil turned in another all-county caliber perfoamance, helping the Mater Dei girls golf team win its final regular season match, a 203-251 triumph over Trinity League rival Orange Lutheran.
Dubreuil, one of the most highly recruited players in the county, shot an even-par 36 on the front nine at El Prado during the match. In the two league matches before that, she carded an even-par 35 against Santa Margarita at WIllowick and a 2-under 34 at Arroyo Trabuco against JSerra. Mater Dei coach Martin Ollie said she has lowered her average for nine hole to 38.
“Desiree is a 2 time all-county golfer who excels in pressure situations and is peaking for a successful run during the CIF team and individual playoffs,” Martin said in a recent e-mail
