ORANGE -- Segerstrom revved up its running game in a 49-0 victory over Orange in a Golden West League game Thursday at El Modena High.
The Jaguars (5-2, 2-0) used a committee of backs and gained 377 yards on the ground.
Aaron Amrine ran for 141 yards and a touchdown on six carries, and Justin Mills rushed for 53 yards and three scores on seven carries to lead Segerstrom’s attack.
A 3-yard touchdown run by Mills capped a 10-play, 92-yard drive to give the Jaguars a 7-0 lead in the first quarter.|
Mills went on to score on a 19-yard run in the second quarter and a 9-yard run in the third quarter.
Amrine broke through the line and outran the secondary for a 75-yard score in the second quarter and set up another score with a 28-yard run.
Eric Manzo gained 55 yards on 13 carries to lead the Panthers (2-5, 1-1).
next week will show what kind of team segerstrom is by playing westminister. overrated or pretty good

hey albert... i have seen you guys play and do think the jaguars are very underrated. deceptive running attack and nice size at the receiver position. unfortunately, i saw laguna hills hold your "o" (notice i didn't say stop). hopefully we'll see each other in the division finals. good luck to you against westminster. what did you think of #44 ("d" end)when you played laguna?
