Here are Steve Fryer’s teams 11-15:
11. La Habra (4-2): The Highlanders beat Buena Park, 62-0, and it looks like that’s the way it will be in Freeway League games for them until they play Fullerton on Nov. 7.
12. Laguna Hills (6-0): I could have typed 9-0 there, with confidence. The Hawks beat Corona del Mar, 34-7, and CdM likely is the only Pacific Coast League team that could challenge Laguna Hills (which plays only nine regular-season games this year).
13. Dana Hills (3-3): People get worked up about seeing .500 teams so high in the top 25, but they don’t think that the teams that beat Dana Hills — Edison, Newport Harbor and San Clemente –– should have any effect on how Dana Hills is evaluated. Those people are wrong.
14. Foothill (5-1): After beating Huntington Beach, 27-3, the Knights look like a team that will go 5-0 in the Sea View League.
15. Tustin (3-3): The Tillers lost to Orange Lutheran, 10-0, then rolled off three consecutive victories, including a 64-0 triumph over Brea Olinda. This could be one of the hottest teams in the county.
Just so you know. La Habra beat Sonora 62-0 and we don’t play Buena park until the 14th of November. Go La Habra!!
Dana Hills is a SOLID football team … you got this one right Steve!
