Garden Grove is going to take down Santiago and Win the League Title!!!
They are good enough to go undefeated into the play-offs.

  • Your Full of... says:

Right buddy, with the tough schedule Grove's played (Saddleback, etc??) they've definitely proven their the better team. No worries, Santiago will set you straight in a few weeks.

    Go get it Cavs!

  • Pappy says:

I love it when I'm right. Westminster 35 Santa Ana 7!! Santa Ana goes from being ranked no. 4 in the division to no. 7 to being mentioned to dropping out completely in the poll in consecutive weeks. Way to tank, Saints.

  • Go Trojans! says:

The reality is that Artesia, Mayfair and Laguna Hills are the top teams in this division. Mayfair is ranked 10th only because the voters for this poll don't use the Fryer method and look strictly at records. Mayfair has played Lakewood, Kennedy, Moorpark and Los Al. The Artesa-Mayfair game this week is for the league title and a top seed in the playoffs. Anyone want to face either of these teams as a #2 team from the Suburban?

  • Pappy says:

I agree. No one is giving the Suburban league any play, because they're not in Orange County. Any O.C. team that is unlucky enough to play a Suburban team in the playoffs should be concerned.

  • Legit40 says:

Like i said Garden Grove is going to win that title!!!!
They beat Westminster a very good team that the if "Cavs" played they would get murdered!!!!!!! Besides who do u play in your League???
A team that has won 2 or Less games, wow I would also be proud.
    No guy Your Full of........!!!

  • get over it!! says:

santiago should take league again!!! they happen to beat anaheim who just happen to kik groves ass last year in the playoffs i really cant wait for grove and santiago to play it should b a good game but i think santiago should take it since they played much better teams than grove and got better from it

  • sfhs23 says:

umm go jaguars only a 5year program competeing for league title we beat santiago

  • hiramv says:

omg, trojan & pappi.... if it was not for artesia (6-1) in that league, the combined record in the suburban league is 10-29. the at-large team in the division would love to play the #2 seed from the suburban league. segerstrom (4-2) can handle every school in the division except laguna hills (6-0).

  • hiramv says:

laguna hills looks like a top 10 o.c. county team and getting better.

  • Pappy says:

In every league you have the cream of the crop and everybody else. In the PC league you have LH and Irvine, in GG league there's GG and Santiago, in GW league you got Westminster and Segerstrom (sorry SA) and in Suburban its' Artesia and Mayfair, etc. You combine the records of all teams in the same league, you're almost always going to have a losing record. Correction; Jaguars are a 4 year program.

  • Go Trojans! says:

The rest of the Suburban league isn't real good past Artesia and Mayfair (and its sad that they are going to get 4 teams into the playoffs even though that 4th team will probably have a terrible record (2-3 wins, all in league), but that doesn't take away from how good those two teams are. Keep in mind with an 8 team league in the division, there are no at large teams this year. The OCL now has 5 teams and gets 3 bids to complete the bracket. The team that is going to get hosed on this is the 4th place PCL team who could be 7-3 or 6-4 and miss out on the playoffs.

Props to the Jaguars for the work they have put in. They are a good team that has its first group of 4 year players this year I think (they are in their 3rd year of varsity football).

I would say that the PCL is the only league that has top to bottom depth this year. There will be two teams from that league that will miss the playoffs who have good records (every team will go at least .500 this year except possible UNI who could end up 4-6, however unlikely that is)

Hiramv- I don't think anyone is going to want to get the #2 team from the Suburban. Either Mayfair or Artesia are better than any possible #2 team from any other league. In fact the seeded team that draws them in the quarters won't be too thrilled to see them at that point.

  • hiramv says:

    pappi,
combined records of the teams in the pc league......22-7.

  • R.E.S.P.E.C.T says:

OPEN INVITATION TO AHS VS MAYFAIR FRI AT BELLFLOWER HS OFF OF THE 605 SHOULD BE A GREAT MATCHUP AHS IS GOING TO BE GEARED UP TO END MAYFAIRS 46 LEAGUE GAME WINNING STREAK AHS confidence is rising and with the addition of that out of nowhere stingy AHS defense with two league shutouts so far looks like some school who has to play this team in the playoffs will be in trouble. AHS is avg about 42 points a game and just out speeds their opponents.

  • Open Invite says:

When is the game? How is parking if I were to arrive 5-10 mins b4 gametime?

  • Chata says:

Hey Legit, Grove and Santiago are the same league. Santiago's played better teams this year. Grove added Laguna Beach, which sux and Orange, who also got beat by Santiago this year. Leave the smack talk for ur buddies in the hall, let's see what you got in three weeks. Tell your family to get there early, it's going to be a full house.

  • tony says:

i think los amigos football will win league they are looking good, go ricky vu #4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • unknown says:

    you know were right..

  • Legit40 says:

Santiago got lucky vs. SA valley!!!!
If u guyz just got bye what makes u think u can beat GG..??

  • CKings says:

ya if garden grove takes the title then ill change my name to franchesca and people have obviously forgotten about cdm but don't worry i'm sure everyone will remember them quite soon.

  • Chata says:

A win is a win Legit. Lucky? blaming a loss on luck is a sore losers song. Have fun in league, you'll be one in out in the playoffs.. yep, just like GG, Santiago, Los, the entire OCL and whoever gets stuck playing Artesia or Mayfair.

Valley beating Western? Heck no, I'll even wish you luck against Magnolia.

Los Amigos winning league? I'll give you third place... that is if you beat Bolsa.

  • hiramv says:

impressive win by the #1 hawks over #8 university 42-14. not overlooking next week's game, but the stage is set for nov. 6 matchup against #4 irvine to decide the pacific coast #1and #2 seeds. irvine had a nice win over cypress earlier this year. too.........i dont think anybody in the division would like to see the #2 seed from the pcl or the suburban league. right, go trojans?

  • hiramv says:

.....but i'll remind you guys to watch out for the jaguars! good luck to both mayfair and artesia. mayfair is actually 3-4 so if they win tomorrow, i think they would be the #4 seed in the division at season's end. if artesia wins they would be #2 seed in the division. just my opinion based on where everybody is at in the cif southern division poll.

  • Legit40 says:

If u saw the game Valley Vs. Santiago game "Chata" you would knoe that Valley was dominating the entire game!!!!
Just a couple of ugly turnovers got Santiago that W.
They couldnt even go up against Segerstrom a team that killed the little "Cavs"
    hahahaha

  • RedPWR says:

It kills me to report this score Mayfair 55 Artesia 21. I hope no one wasted their gas to come down and watch.

  • thevine says:

Hey CKings great win tonight you guys were good.Well coached and disciplined. This makes me wonder is LHHS really that good or were you guys off that game? If we get that 2pt conversion we might have been able to hang on for the win.Great punt to seal the deal maybe even before the fumble.Congrats!

  • hiramv says:

thevine...had the second string not been in the game in the fourth quarter, corona del mar would not have scored at all against laguna hills (34-7). laguna hills is good and hungry after last year's first round close loss to the eventual cif champs, cypress. very good win for corona del mar. see you november 6th in irvine.

  • hiramv says:

with artesia losing and cdm's win over irvine, corona del mar might be the #4 seed in the division if they win their next 2 games.......at season's end. maybe?

  • thevine says:

ya hiramv would of felt alot better if we would have won this one.Makes the next two games pretty intresting for all of us huh?

  • Chata says:

If you would have seen the Segerstrom vs Santiago game, you would know that the scoring was back and forth. 1st team to stop the other took it...

I would call santiago opportunistic, Valley could have stopped Santiago after each turnover - I mean it's not like the 'little cavs' picked the ball off the ground and ran it back for 80 yrds untouched... oh wait.

Good luck against Magnolia - they whooped Savanna, whom Anaheim happened to slip past - just like Valley slipped past anaheim tonight.

  • dasnake says:

haha westminser here we come....JAGUARS 5-2 WESTMINSTER4-3 LOOK FOR THE GOLDENWEST LEAGUE TO BE WON BY WHOEVER WINS NEXT WEEKS GAME...

  • hiramv says:

a tie between irvine and corona del mar would have been interesting, too. does it seem the pacific coast league does not get much respect from the oc-register or is it just me? well enjoy your bye week, thevine.

  • 1cavalwaysacav says:

HOPE GARDEN GROVE IS REALLY STUDYING THAT VIDEO THEY FILM BETWEEN BOLSA GRANDE AND SANTIAGO (42-7) THEY SEEM TO BE PAYING EXTRA ATTENTION TO THE GAMES SANTIAGO PLAYS IT SEEMS THAT THE EXCHANGE OF FILMS ISN'T GOING TO BE ENOUGH THAT THEY HAD TO GO AND FILM THEIR OWN I COULDNT HELP BUT NOTICE ALL THE PLAYERS AND COACHES FROM RANCHO(witch we beat all ready) AND GARDEN GROVE @ THE STANDS ON FRIDAYS GAME SANTIAGO-GARDEN GROVE SHOWDOWN KEEPS GETTING MORE INTERESTING AS IT GETS CLOSER AND CLOSER LET THE BEST TEAM WIN (did i mention Grove beat Bolsa 30 something to 0)

  • 12478658431 says:

    mayfair vs. laguna hills.

  • PMaK says:

BEING THAT ARTESIA LOST TO MAYFAIR...DOES THAT MAKE THE NORWALK, MAYFAIR GAME A POTENTIAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME IF NORWALK CAN BEAT ARTESIA THIS UPCOMING WEEK??NORWALKS OFFENSE IS SCORING IN BUNCHES...

  • 1234 says:

I'd Love to see a Segerstrom vs. Laguna Hills rematch in the cif championship

  • 5678 says:

1234 why do you want to see segerstrom lose again?

  • anonymous says:

it was 28-3 going into the 4th quarter of the LH segerstrom game. Congradulations segerstrom for being able to score against Laguna's second defense.

  • RedPWR says:

WHAT SEPERATES MAYFAIR FROM THE REST OF THE SUBURBAN LEAGUE IS THEIR LINE. IT IS SIMILAR TO THE PCL LEAGUE. THEREFORE MAYFAIR WILL POUND NORWALK WORSE THEN THEY DID ARTESIA. ARTESIA WILL BEAT NORWALK FOR 2ND PLACE. AND PLEASE DONT GIVE THE AT LARGE BIRTH TO A SUBURBAN LEAGUE TEAM.

  • Weezy Btch says:

Don't get ahead of yourself 1cavalwaysacav - Santiago is a great team, but so is Grove this year. Santiago can't let victories against Rancho or Bolsa get to their heads. Grove is hungry and will do anything to (TRY) stop a repeat!

Keep the purple reign going Cavs!

  • PMaK says:

HOW MANY PLAYOFF SPOTS DO EACH LEAGUE RECEIVE??

  • me says:

its funny how so many teams talk smack on segerstrom but there the only team to actually play teams unlike grove which is extremly horable artesia and irvine who have played a bunch of nobodies....and people are talking bout how great santiago is they are dooo-dooo on the real segerstrom killed them...u can ask any player from lh and they will tell you segerstrom is probly there biggest challenge and they didnt put there 2nd team in

  • CKings says:

the cdm LH game was a complete flook cdm had 6 turnovers and cdm just came out flat

  • erick says:

boys waterpolo for los is the best we won league

  • thevine says:
