Cooksie, Western overpower Magnolia, 48-14

ANAHEIM -- Senior Mookie Cooksie scored four touchdowns and had an interception to help lead Western to a 48-14 victory against Magnolia in the Orange League opener for each school at Western on Thursday.
The Pioneers (4-2, 1-0) have captured at least a share of the past six league titles.
Cooksie, a running back/defensive back, ran for two scores and caught two others. His touchdowns included a 57-yard touchdown reception from Derek Orman late in the first half and tackle-breaking 64-yard touchdown run in the third.
“He had a real good game,” Western coach Toby Howell said of Cooksie.
Western, ranked fifth in the Southwest Division, rushed for 358 yards. Orman passed for another 107.
Magnolia’s Robert Cruz rushed 41 times for 225 yards, including a 62-yard score late in the fourth.
Magnolia (2-4, 0-1) finished with 299 yards rushing.
“If we can pound Western like we did tonight, that bodes well,” Magnolia coach Dave Perkins said.

Come on kid keep it going and get a little more consistency and you will be just as good as those boys in the L.A . leagues...
