No. 2 Edison (4-1) vs. No. 8 Newport Harbor (4-1)
Friday, 7 p.m., at Orange Coast College
Outlook: Have you forgotten about Edison? The Chargers turned in one of the greatest defensive performances of the season Oct. 3 by holding Mater Dei to 14 points and then took last week off.
The Chargers are back this week. They've made a nice transition from Nick Crissman (UCLA) to Matt Viles. Viles, a junior, has completed 63 percent of his passes and has 12 touchdowns against five interceptions.
If he continues on this path, the Chargers will be extremely difficult to beat in league.
The Sailors are on a three-game winning streak after defeating Mira Costa of Manhattan Beach, 42-14, last week.
Cecil Whiteside has been a force on defense with 25 tackles and five sacks.
The Sailors were picked to finish fourth in league, even though they returned 14 starters.
Could they be underrated?
Edison won last year’s meeting, 47-0. Will the score be that one-sided this year?

Newport will certainly score, But Edison will probably take the victory. Edison has more raw fight in them.
