LA HABRA (3-1) VS. NO. 9 SAN CLEMENTE (4-0)
Site, date, time: San Clemente High, Fri. Oct. 10, 7 p.m.
Outlook: La Habra has a lot of challenges to overcome. The Highlanders are coming off of a tough defeat, a 28-21 loss to Los Alamitos. Now they have to play another top 10 team, with a long bus trip attached, too. You never know how high school guys will play after a long bus trip.
The good news for La Habra is that offensive star Ronnie Hillman practiced this week; he suffered a lower-leg contusion that forced him out of the Los Al game for a couple of series. San Clemente has beaten teams that are a combined 4-14, but the Tritons know how to handle a big game from being in the tough South Coast League. Their defense has been outstanding, yielding only seven points a game. Two things I really liked about La Habra, having seen the Highlanders last week: great team speed on defense, and they were very physical in the fourth quarter.
Winner: La Habra

if lahabra’s defense can stop the mighty tritons, than they shall prevail. lahabra must also take better care of the ball, seeing them give up 4 turnovers with in 20 yards of the goal line was sickening to watch as a football fan.
I agree, La Habra will win.
