Magnolia (2-2) vs. Loara (3-1)
Thursday, 7 p.m., at Glover Stadium
Outlook: Last year, Loara lost to Anaheim by three points and the next week allowed 56 points to Magnolia in a loss.
The Saxons dropped another three-point decision to the Colonists last week, and guess who happens to be on the schedule this week?
Magnolia played its toughest opponent of the season last week and lost to Corona del Mar, 27-6.
This is a big game for the Sentinels as they prepare for the Orange League. Last season, after Magnolia defeated Loara, it managed to go winless in league until defeating Century in the final game of the season.
Loara is in the same predicament because the Empire League has the potential to be as tough and unpredictable as last year when three teams finished tied for first (Pacifica, Valencia, Kennedy) and the division champion (Cypress) lost twice in league.
Who rebounds from last week’s loss? What will the future hold for the Sentinels and Saxons?
Robert Cruz# 32!!! A threat every time he touches the BALL. Kid is a stud. 158 yards against CDM.
Dont count loara out last year is in the past this team is ready they have come together as a family should defense is hitting hard just ask mike reyas of anaheim look for the defense to make some key plays and as for the offense Anthony bautista is racking up the yards even though his carries are fewer then most the backs in the league and they dont run up the score when their winning big and leave their starters in thats humiliating if we would of keeped are starters in against senora we could have racked the yards up to but coach lappin has shown some class thats a good thing but the grid iron is where it counts and the saxons are ready after a good week of practice .
