No. 23 Cypress (2-2) vs. Irvine (4-1)
Friday, 7 p.m., at Irvine High
Overview: Reports of the Centurions' demise were greatly exaggerated.
Cypress began its season with a (big) loss to Mater Dei and a (close) loss to Artesia. Since then, it has been difficult to score on the Cypress defense.
The Centurions defeated Pioneer, 41-7, and followed that up with a 35-7 triumph over University to climb back to .500.
(I never lost faith in Line Six).
Akeelie Muhammad has been electrifying in the past two games, recording 308 total yards for the Centurions.
Cypress continues its tour of Irvine teams with a meeting with the Vaqueros.
Irvine has won four consecutive games since dropping its season opener to University. However, those teams are a combined 3-15.
More fodder for your brain: Irvine lost to University … Cypress beat University. (You are free to draw your own conclusions.)

Cypress always plays a weak schedule. Try to play teams like Los Al, Poly and division 1 teams and see what happens. Oh yeah you played a weak Mater Dei team and got destroyed.

Get a clue big daddy, have you heard of different divisions per the size of the school.
We don’t SHOP for players like other schools. We play with the talent we have from our city and are winning. (CIF) So sit back and enjoy the Orange & Blue. O and for the Mater Dei it was priceless to play them win or lose.
