
Two of the county’s most talented distance runners were victorious at the Pepperdine Invitational on Saturday in Malibu.
Edison senior Hillary Hayes was the top finisher in the girls Varsity Sweeps. Hayes, who finished in a time of 18:36.34, helped lead the Chargers to a third place team finish, as five Charger runners finished in the top 25.
On the boys side, Laguna Beach sophomore Matt Neev (15:54.85) was the top finisher in the varsity small schools race.
