ORANGE — Marina running back Sam Wilson rushed for 173 yards and four touchdowns in the first half to help the visiting Vikings roll past Orange, 41-0, on Thursday night at El Modena High.

Wilson ended the night with 223 yards on 32 carries, and had scoring runs of 3, 19, 1 and 3 yards. Marina scored on four of its five first-half scoring drives to put the game out of reach.

Each Vikings drive was less than 55 yards as Marina capitalized on short punts by the Panthers (0-4) to get great field position.

Wilson would add a fifth score, another 1-yarder on the opening drive of the second half to end his night.

The Vikings (2-2) rushed for 351 yards, and John Taylor closed the scoring with a 1-yard run midway through the fourth quarter.

The Marina defense had three interceptions and held Orange to 196 yards.
