No. 4 Los Alamitos (3-0) vs. No. 11 La Habra (3-0)
Friday, 7 p.m., at La Habra High
Preview: Let me go on record as saying that I have been voting the Highlanders in my top 10 for the previous three weeks.
I give them a lot of credit for scheduling this game. I wish more teams would take on challenging games like this.
Now, if only La Habra can find a way to slow down Clark Evans and his receivers (Paul Richardson and Darryl Jenkins). Those two might be the best pair of receivers in the county.
But I don’t know how good Los Alamitos is at this point. The Griffins haven’t been tested at all through their first three games (Mayfair, Fremont, Long Beach Wilson).
Would La Habra be 3-0 playing that schedule? Mayfair beat Kennedy by one point and Long Beach Wilson lost to Pacifica.
The Highlanders are going to need a big night from Ronnie Hillman (A.K.A. Reggie Bush of the O.C.). If they get one and put pressure on Evans, then maybe, just maybe …

Actually sir it was Kennedy who beat Mayfair by one point.
