Explaining the above voting ...

Servite has beaten two teams in the state top 25 -- Clovis West, and that was on the road, too; and Edison. Servite lost at the state's No. 5 team, Crespi, by one point. The other victory was over a defending CIF champion, St. Paul.

A vote for Mission Viejo at No. 1 would be fine. I have complete respect for the Diablos. But looking at the strength of schedule, Servite is my No. 1 by a small margin.

It was just about a coin flip, between La Habra and Newport Harbor at No. 10.

I wish WingNut would post his top 10 on our message boards. Maybe he has quit. Sure, he has not seen any of the teams in the top 10 and that isn't so good for his credibility. But he always mixes in some nifty personal insults while remaining anonymous. That's entertainment!
