OCVarsity Defensive Star(s) of the week

September 27th, 2008, 12:46 pm · 3 Comments · posted by Damian Calhoun, OCVarsity.com since 2004

Edison entered its nonleague game against Servite averaging 51 points a game. The Chargers scored 17 against Servite.

After watching the game on TV, I couldn’t pick just one star, so I didn’t.

The defensive star of the week honor goes to the entire Servite defense

The Friars recorded six sacks (two apiece from Kirifi Taula, Troy Niklas and Dominic Greco) and had three interceptions (Bijon Samoodi and two from Michael Marcoux.)

Fierce, indeed.

Did Fryer put you up to this? The whole team? be a man and single out a star or leader.

What does that have to do with being a man? Lol, hilarious……..

If you would of been at the game instead of watching it on TV, it would have been easy to pick; Bijon Samoodi’s name was mentioned more then any other defensive player and he ended the game with an interception. I am not for sure but I think he had over 20 tackles and one interception.
Nevertheless, I think the whole Servite Defense did great- “CREDO”, maybe after we beat Notre Dame the others will believe…
