Los Alamitos’ top-ranked boys water polo team will play No. 2 El Toro in the finals of the South Coast Tournament at Newport Harbor at 4:05 p.m.

The Griffins rallied to edge Santa Barbara, 4-3, while the Chargers held off league rival Foothill, 6-5, in the other semifinal.

In San Diego, Mater Dei has reached the semifinals of the America’s Finest City Invitational. The Monarchs play Loyola at 3 p.m. It’s Harvard-Westlake and Coronado in the other semifinal. Final is at 7 p.m.
