Here is a recap of the action in week 2, according to the numbers.

966 – Total yards that Mater Dei and Centennial of Corona combined in Centennial’s 47-35 victory Friday.

7 – The number of interceptions thrown by Mater Dei quarterback Matt Barkley through the first three games.

57 – The length of the potential game-winning field goal by Servite kick Mike Loftus that fell short to give Crespi a 21-20 victory.

8 – The number of sacks recorded by the Edison defense in Friday’s 48-20 triumph over Dana Hills.

2 – The number of interception returns for touchdowns by Westminster in Thursday’s 35-28 defeat of Marina.

32 – The length of Loara’s Jonathan Negrette’s game-winning field goal Thursday.

186 – Rushing yards for Western’s Ruben Ortega as the Pioneers defeated Valencia 27-24.

3- Touchdown passes by Santiago quarterback Harvey Alavez in a 33-13 road victory over El Modena.

5 – The number of touchdowns that San Clemente had scored through its first six possessions on the way to a 41-7 victory over Trabuco Hills.

4 – The number of touchdowns scored by Fountain Valley running back Kyle Middlebrooks (three rushing, 1 kickoff) to give him a total of 10 so far this season.

30 – Consecutive winning streak for St. Margaret’s after Friday’s victory.

16 – Consecutive number of points scored by Foothill in its upset 30-26 victory over Santa Margarita.

164 – Totals yards by Ronnie Hillman (AKA The Reggie Bush of the O.C.) in La Habra’s 22-13 victory over South Hills.
