Alex Mascarenas, Mission Viejo, Sr., defensive back
Mascarenas, who is headed to UCLA next year, had a pair of interceptions, including one in the end zone to stop a La Costa Canyon drive Friday night to lead the Diablos to a 38-14 victory.
Mascarenas, a second-team All-County performer last season, also recovered a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown.
