Outlook: Villa Park has a new coaching situation, with veteran head coach Pat Mahoney sharing the duties with Dusan Ancich, a son of Marijon Ancich, the winningest coach in California high school football history. These Spartans should be better than the ones that went 1-9 last year. Valencia has to replace one of the best running backs of the past couple of years, Wes Fletcher, but the Tigers seem to have a good group of candidates at the position. Quarterback David Pina emerged at mid-season last year as an accurate thrower and team leader.
