too bad for Santiago this isnt passing league... Esperanza doesnt "compete" in passing league, its just something they annually send the JV guys to. Santiago was lucky that Esperanza kept the score close with some key turnovers...but in the end the Sharks were way overmatched. Not sure what the offensive numbers are but Im sure that will paint a better picture of this game than the score does.

Hats off to you Steve.............
And to Esperanza who assigned Hayden Pierce to Marlion Barnett - Pierce was brilliant and effectively shutdown Barnett. Esperanza offense was brilliantly balanced and the defnese did a great job on Santiago......

So hats off to Esperanza (and to Dr. Fryer - the Steve man).

Don't underestimate Santiago, their line is big, their TE is headed to a Div. 1 school next year, big tough defense, they have something to prove this year. Esperanza didn't look impressive during passing league this summer so expect Santiago to stack the box and play the run. Should be a game in the trenches.
