FOOTHILL (9-3) AT DANA HILLS (1-8-1)

Site, time: Dana Hills High, Friday, 7 p.m.

Outlook: Foothill finished one game behind Sea View League champion (and Southwest Division finalist) Trabuco Hills last season, and advanced to the Southwest quarterfinals. The Knights might be better this season. Quarterback Zach Griffith might be better than his predecessor, all-league Chad Miller, and the Knights have a good back in Robert Daniel. Their linebacking crew could be among the finest in Orange County. The Knights have a tough first-game assignment. Dana Hills is going to be much better than it was in 2007, and the Dolphins have one of the bigger advantages a high school team can have: a good passing game. Dana Hills quarterback Sean Schroeder is a good one. This is a tough game to call. Foothill’s defense could be the difference.
