Sean Kelly, El Toro, QB, Jr.
Pretty sure he’s a senior
There is also a new sophomore at Sonora High in La Habra named Michael Servantes. Kid is a shut down corner and will be starting this year, should be exciting…
Of course there is no mention of THHS. But that’s okay. ther are two 2 way juniors that will make their mark this year.
Of course no mention of THHS. That’s okay. 2 of our Jrs will shine before the dust settles.
THPHOTO: Let’s hope so….. wish there were more than 2….
There are alot of Jrs and Sophs that are going to get varsity expeirence so thhs is going to be be a force to reckonned in the CIF SS for the next couple of years
you need to be looking at Fountain Valleys Kyle Middlebrooks and Dominic Ragland
avery williams at garden grove high school is a must look at. fast, quick and got hops.as a receiver he has what it takes 21 tds as a freshman. top 50 underclassman on the west coast.
Woodbridge kicker Jr Joe Roberts is one to be watching
There is a sop. At La Habra high school that plays DL. Joseph Duran player to look out for……
KLYE MIDDLEBROOKS HOW CAN YOU MISS THIS ONE?
WATCH OUT FOR RUBEN ORTEGA.. THIS DUDE IS A BEAST… ONLY A JUNIOR THIS YEAR… WON PLAYER OF THE YEAR FOR ORANGE LEAGUE AS A SOPHMORE… IF YOU HAVEN’T WATCH THIS GUY PLAY, YOU ARE MISSIN’ OUT.. GO WATCH HIM THIS FRIDAY AS WESTERN AND FULLERTON GO AT IT…
michael servantes is known for his shut down ability only brea has thrown to his side this year and no luck nobody will throw his way he not only plays corner but also free safety only a sophmore and starts sonorah will be known for there defense soon enough
there is also a a couple of boys over at Villa Park High School who should be mentioned. Thank you very much.
-Steven Fieeiki
-Danny Fieeiki
-Tene Tafuna
-Tonga Tafuna
-Mikaele
-Alipa
Yes, they are polynesian boys & they SH0ULD be reconized also.
there also is another sophmore TE over at sonora his name is baba eko this kid has good size and hands the OC should watch out for this kid. he pick up 85 rec. yds his first game but the yds were called back for penalties so he ended up with only 5 yds and a score for a two point conversion. but this kid is something to watch out for in the future.
I’m not big on Sonora High School but Michael Servantes is a true defensive back. Has probably the most potential of any sophomore in the county. Fryer and Co. PLEASE PLEASE WATCH THIS KID… I can tell you now he will be a Division 1 prospect for sure come 2011 when he graduates… It is sad that the teams in their league don’t throw the ball or you would see his true skill!!!
baba “chris” eko is the kid to watch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sonora H.S. who?????
yea sorta suprising u dont have kyle middlebrooks but u have a bunch of edison players
Newport Harbor has several underclassmen who should be watched…
JB Salem, 6′5′ DT is playing great… a Soph
Cecil Whiteside has started for three years and is a leader on both sides of the ball… a Junior
Dillion Freiburg who has not missed an extra point all year, won the LosAl game with a field goal and consistently drops kicks inside the 5 yd line. Possibly the best underclassman kicker in OC… a Junior
PLUS, the NH freshmen just ended their season with a 56-20 thumping of LosAl to end a 9-1 season, losing only to LB Poly.
Watch out for Harbor in the future!
OCCOVERAGE,
Not impressed by this Servantes kid. He must be your son. Besides, you may have made a mistake sending him to Sonora when, the other school in town has several players enroute to play at the next level. La Habra, now that’s a program. Eko has some size, but very slow. He’s doesn’t seem to be a difference maker. Both kids are Sophomores, lets give them time.
On a side note,,,,Chiottis’ record as a head coach the past three years, 11-19. Glad this isn’t college ball. He’d be gone.
Check out ,,,, Sunny Hills, now that’s an up and coming program.
No, he’s not my son, just a kid I have been watching since I saw him play when he was in Pop Warner. I still think he has some getting used to in High School, but I do think he will elavate his game to another level in the coming years since he is still a sophomore. His football IQ is what I think sets him apart from others I’ve coached. And Congrats to Sunny Hills and their first year coach.
Since this is the thread where it seems all the parents are tooting the horn of their own sons, here I go…RILEY WHYTE, Servite High School starting center. 6′2″, 245lbs., junior. Consistently high individual game percentage scores, versatile - started as guard before moving to center, also long snaps with Chris Rubio of Chris Sailer Kicking, he’s a workhorse that hasn’t had a bad game yet, does his job consistently well, a natural leader. TOOT TOOT! Credo!
Mrs. Whyte
PS - the usung heros of the oft ignored O Line all need a toot once in a while. Thanks!
Eko has proved that he has some speed seeing how he is one of the best TE in his league. Only as a sophmore he has changed games around if you don’t belive me watch footage from the Sonora vs. Troy Game.
I saw the Troy vs. Sonora game Eko broke like four tackles for a TD right?
Wyatt Baker is a sophmore .
JOSEPH DURAN #13 LA HABRA KID TO LOOK OUT FOR NEXT YEAR!!!!!
I played at Eastern Washington as QB. I won the walter payton award for D 2 college football. I have been watching high-school football for about 2 years after college because my career as a NFL football player never launched. I have been watching teams around my hometown. La Mirada, Norwalk, La Habra, Fullerton, Sonora, and Sunny Hills. La Mirada has a good future with 3 starting sophomores in the seondary. La Habra will be good for a while…but not as good as this year. Fullerton will have 1 or 2 more years of winning. THATS IT. Sonora has a good future ahead of them. With 3 sophomores starting, i think there could’ve been more. They have a lot of heart; especially the underclassmen. I’m looking foward to their senior year. Last but not least…Sunny Hills……they did good this year. But i think that was just a one hit wonder. I think they will go back to the old losing team. They have a good coach but not good players.
I agree with E-money alot. with sonoras three returning starting sophmores and many young kids coming in next year, sonora will be a young solid team. by these sophmores senior year, sonora should be a cif contender. they had a talented freshman team which i think is there future. Michael Servantes, Baba Eko, And Lukas McCarthy will be a strong asset to the team next year. And a couple more returners such as Brian Jew, Phillip Woge, Andrew Jaramillio, Derek O’hanlon, and much more will create a strong team. but fullerton is a team that the freeway league should watch out for. And also La Habra, like always, has a decent freshman running back who will be a kid to look out for. I disagree with one thing e money said about sunny hills. I think sunny hills new coach is a big changer in the football program. sunny hills will be up there with sonora, fullerton, and la Habra
Baba Eko will be a great asset to the sonora squad next year!
Yes I really believe so Baba Eko is a solid TE with great hands if he gets faster look out for him to be MVP of the league.
Wow I’m really wondering if this eko kid is good the way everyone’s talking about him.
just itching to see some good underclassmen!
fan 55 this was for the beginning of the year just so you know

You guys are a joke! ‘Sonora’ and ‘CIF’ should never be used in the same sentence nor breath…….The last time Sonora was in the playoffs, the got their arses handed to them by little S. EL Monte, 55-7. What an black eye to the Freeway League.

C’mon, you gotta be kidding right????????Sonora is up there???No Way!!!!
Sunny Hills should get props. They smoked Sonora 42-21. Sunny Hills will replace Troy as the No. 3 team in the FWY League from now on.
Freeway League Fan………Lets see what happens next season!
Sunny hills will go back to the old losing team that they are SONORA WILL BE UP THERE NEXT SEASON JUST WAIT AND SEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
M.V has a couple soph that are play makers, Tre’ Madden, Bryan Keller,
Nah, I don’t see Sonora being anywhere near the top, anytime soon. LH will keep taking all the size and athletes in the city. C’mon how can you compete with a trip to Angels Stadium and Back to Back CIF Championships. Did Sonora have a decent freshman and JV team?
As for Sunny Hills, the league needs to watch out. They are very well coached and have a pretty high enrollment.
Troy’s freshman team did very good this year and will be back in contention before we know it.
