6. Servite (9-3) – They don't have the stars, such as Matt Kalil and D.J. Shoemate, they had year, but the Friars have enough good ones coming back and the usual grit and team spirit to be a factor in the ultra-tough Trinity League.
They have 13 returning starters. Among them is Bijon Samoodi, All-County last year as a defensive back. He also will play wide receiver this year.
Greg Portis sparks the running game. He rushed for 388 yards in 2007.
The quarterback will be Cody Fajardo, whom Coach Troy Thomas said could have a strong year and has emerged as a team leader.
The Friars should be good defensively, with Samoodi and linebacker Dontaie Ferguson leading.

i hate pride drills. gay.
turtle 101...don't ever call Servite's Hut Drill a "Pride Drill." Pride drills are what you call Mater Dei and Orange Lutheran's sorry reproductions of Servite's Hut Drill. The Hut Drill will always be the first and the one all others will try to replicate.
