  • yeah right says:

I don’t get it. Laguna Hills ranked higher than La Habra? How can the Southern Division favorite be ranked ahead of the Southwest Division favorite? Calpreps has La Habra as a 43.2 or something and Laguna Hills at an 18.2. I know Laguna Hills is good, but La Habra good? San Clemente good?

  • haha says:

i agree with this guy^^^. You have Canyon 7 spots below at No. 18?
I completely understand that since Canyon has beaten them for the past two years by multiple scores. (sarcasm)

  • vinnie chase says:

I have to agree with yeah right. Like cypress, they belong in the 20’s with ‘Pathetica’.

  • STEVE FRYER, ocvarsity.com says:

Hey, Yeah Right … as the division rankings are not out until Thursday, I am not sure how teams can be labeled as division favorites. The calpreps guys are sharp, but they have been wrong before. So have I. Rankings are difficult to do. There really is not a huge margin between, say, No. 11 and No. 18. You could move a bunch of teams around in that top 25 and still have a reasonable top 25.

  • yeah right says:

You’ve made them your (italics) partuicular favorites by ranking each tops in their division. That’s what I was getting at.

  • turtle 101 says:

They’re about as bad as the hometown mall. And they usually have about as much speed as those shopping at said mall.

  • MM67 says:

turtle 101 doesn’t know anything. LH the most under-rated team, until now (thanks Mr. Fryer for finally opening your eyes to our greatness! :) me, of course a bias Alum, who has in fact played on the team for both the 05 sea view and the 06 pacific coast league championships, knows these Laguna kids. for one, to say they have no speed is a JOKE!!! perfect example is our guys from last year who shocked everyone with their speed. Second, having trained with these particular kids, i KNOW they’re F A S TTTTT, and yes im’ calling it now, CIF champions. Especially with my big men on the line!!! good luck boys i’ll be on the sideline at every game.

  • chris jenson says:

luguna hills should not be at number 11 if anything they should be behind cypress who beat them last year. dont get me wrong luguna hills is a great football team and they are big and fast you dont find that in alot of teams. they still lost to cypress in the first round in the southern divion. luguana deserves to be at least 15 or 16 at least. best a luck to you guys in the year to come.

  • Big C says:

The reason that Laguna Hills is ranked so highly is because they were able to beat teams like trabuco last year with only 4 seniors playing. The entire offense is returning with an addition of a starting runningback who was on the IR all last season.

  • hawkdolphin says:

    Here come the hawks!

And they are only getting better.

You’ll see what I mean as the season goes on!

  • anonymous says:

Why cant people understand that high school is completely different than the nfl in that if a team beats another team the previous season it doesn’t mean they deserve a higher ranking for the following season. Thanks to a little thing called “GRADUATION”, you have to look at who’s coming back and what they managed to do with younger players. By the way the spelling is L-A-G-U-N-A. not luguna or luguana. Peace

  • Devilspride says:

I saw the hawks play in there scrimmage against northwood and pacifica and they looked pathetic. I know scrimmages don’t mean anything. since no team is really going to run their true offense or defense. But seriously Laguna Hills looked like a joke. Bunch of softies

  • anonymous says:

thank you Devilspride, i was at the scrimmage also and Pacifica handled both Laguna Hills and Northwood. It’s true that is is a scrimmage but when they barely gain any yards on offense and get bulllied on defense, about number 20 or so looks right to me

  • Johnny Brasco says:

For starters who is La Habra! Second I was also at the scrimmage with Pacifica and Northwood and it did not seem like either Pacifica or Laguna really wanted to show anything. I would bet you dinner with your MOM La Habra; Laguna would smoke you this year!
