
As predicted here, Gabe Lemon will start at receiver for Orange Lutheran. Lancers coach Jim Kunau confirmed that today.
That is a good group of receivers at OLu, which also has Scotty Williams, who committed to West Point (a tough school to get into) and Shawn Rohr, a junior whose brother Brandon was a three-sport guy at Lutheran a few years ago.
In speaking with Kunau, I compared Lemon to Austin Pettis, a fine WR at OLu a couple seasons ago. Kunau said Lemon, at 5-foot-9, really is not that much like Pettis, who was 6-2 and had excellent leap-and-catch skills.
But Kunau said that, like Pettis, Lemon is quick, gets open and catches the ball.
Lemon was a first-team All-County defensive back at Trabuco Hills in 2007.
