GIRLS LACROSSE
No. 3 Los Alamitos vs. No. 4 St. Margaret’s, at Trabuco Hills High, 7 p.m.
Outlook: This is for the county championship and for the right to represent the South Division in the Southern Section title, Friday against either Palos Verdes or Mira Costa. The Griffins relied on five goals from Shaina Denny and four from Francie Crowell to upset the defending county champion, Foothill, 14-9 in one of the semifinals Monday. The Tartans were led by a pair of four-goal performances from Anna Maria Carabini and Emily Boone in their victory over Beckman. The key to their attack will be the play of Lauren Ciccomascolo. Ciccomascolo had two goals and two assists in the semifinals. The teams have played twice this season (Feb. 29 and March 11) with the Griffins winning both, 20-10 and 12-11. — Damian Calhoun
