Coach receives state honor

Magnolia basketball coach Mike Anderson, who coaches the school’s boys and girls teams, was selected as the California Division III girls coach of the year by calhisports.com.


Anderson led the Sentinels to the Division III state championship game, where they fell to Sacred Heart Cathedral.

Former Santa Margarita coach Richard Schaaf was last season’s Division III girls coach of the year.
