I’m sure there will be more upsets today, but so far, the winner has to be Mitch Newcomer of Laguna Hills. Newcomer rallied from a 5-1 deficit to defeat the state’s second ranked wrestler Scott Sakaguchi of Clovis, 9-5 in the championship second round.

So much for rankings. Newcomer was listed as ones to watch in the latest state rankings. Ben Rivera (Marina) just pulled out a 10-9 victory overBrad Bullock of El Diamante
