		<description>Wow.

It's a shame one team had to lose this game. Both teams mustered inspiring comebacks in this classic see-saw battle. La Habra's teamwork was amazing, and they just seemed better... until the 4th quarter. Sonora ran off four straight goals and seemed poised to win easily and La Habra simply refused to give-up. When they scored the tying goal with less than 2 seconds left, it looked like they had everything going their way for the inevitable OT.

And then came "The Shot." This will go down in Sonora lore forever. Everyone will know where they were when, "The Shot," occurred. We were right behind the Garcias. Sara's toss seemed to hang in the air forever, and La Habra's goalie didn't seem to be able to move...as though she were in quicksand. The ball sailed toward the far right corner, glanced off the goalkeeper's outstretched fingertips and settled into the net. GOOOOOOAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!

Shock, disbelief and bedlam ensued. We went from certain overtime and uncertain outcome to instant victory as Sara scored with no time remaining. Those of us who were there still can't believe it. Hey Dan, if that's not your OC player of the year, I don't know who is.

Big congratulations to La Habra for a fantastic break-out season. They are a force. But it was Sonora's year, lead by Senior Sara Olguin, who knows not to quit until the final horn sounds. Nice job, Sonora, you deserved it!!
