Check out what's happening in the Pac-5.
Edison is going to play its first-round home game, against Compton, at Huntington Beach High (Sheue Field). Edison wanted Orange Coast College, but Orange Coast is playing a makeup game there Friday night (vs. Golden West) and then there is a community college bowl game there Saturday.
Edison would rather play at Huntington Beach on a Friday than at OCC on a Thursday.
Orange Lutheran and Servite have requested Santa Ana Stadium for their first-round home playoff games (Lutheran plays Mission Viejo, Servite plays San Clemente. But as this is an observed holiday for Veterans' Day, it is difficult to contact city and other personnel. So Lutheran and Servite home sites might not be available until Tuesday morning. Lutheran and Servite both have requested Brea Olinda for their home games should Santa Ana Stadium be unavailable to either. Servite also has St. John Bosco as a third option.
Esperanza is looking for a site, too, for its game against Lakewood, and probably won't know until Tuesday. Esperanza's home field, Bradford Stadium at Valencia, is also the home field for El Dorado and Valencia, which both also have first-round home playoff games. There is a pecking order for Bradford this week (it changes) and it goes: 1. El Dorado; 2. Valencia; 3. Esperanza. El Dorado is playing there Friday and Valencia is there Saturday -- but Lakewood will not approve a Thursday game, and that approval is needed for a Thursday game. So Esperanza might be at Buena Park, according Esperanza athletic director Gary Meek.
Teams can play on Thursday or Saturday, if stadium availability forces them to do so. Changes of dates and starting times must be agreed upon by both schools, and then CIF-Southern Section office approval must be granted. CIF generally approves all date and time changes, as long as the venue is large enough. The CIF-SS states that games must start at 7:30 p.m., but a 7 p.m. kickoff would be approved as long as both teams agree to it.

What about CS Fullerton for the Friars?
What about MD and Tesoro? I hear that Tesoros' stands only accomodate about 1500 on the visitors side.... Where will that game be played?
is Santa Margarita definitely going to Veterans Stadium?
