NEWPORT BEACH – In their first Orange Coast League victory, Laguna Beach High School defeated Estancia, 17-13, at Newport Harbor High School on Friday night.
Estancia (5-5, 2-1 in Orange Coast League) put the first points on the board in the middle of the first quarter with a four-yard run from Carlos Mendez.
The Breakers (2-8, 1-2 in Orange Coast League) scored all their points in the second quarter. In the first play of the quarter, quarterback Charley Bowman completed a 31-yard touchdown pass to Andrew Paddon.
