OC Varsity ~ High school sports talk by the staff of the Orange County Register

It's over at Santa Ana Stadium: Orange Lutheran 31, Mater Dei 12 ...

What a great effort for Orange Lutheran. The Lancers set the tone with that game-opening onside kick they recovered. They scored on that following drive, and really never looked back. They controlled the game from the start to the finish.

That is a very impressive rebound for Lutheran, a fine recovery from its 28-13 loss to Servite two weeks ago.

Sure, the two-week break did not help Mater Dei. But Lutheran had that two-week break, too.

I agree that Orange Lu was ready and MD was not. Remember this happened last year also. Servite wins league. O Lu wins CIF. Rollo was not willing to take what the defence gave him tonight.
